Madison Iszler is a senior majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) at The King's College and the opinion editor for the Empire State Tribune, the college's student newspaper. In the past she has interned for the United Nations, National Review, and BNO News, among other organizations. Following graduation, Madison hopes to pursue a career in journalism.

Here’s what she has to say about starting at NAS:

I applied for an internship at the NAS because I am interested in learning more about how colleges and universities pursue intellectual integrity in practical ways. As a current college student who is actively experiencing many of the changes that the NAS researches and writes about, I am concerned with the current state of education and the accompanying attitudes of faculty and students. Additionally, as an aspiring journalist, I am interested in writing informatively, engagingly, and winsomely about the topics that NAS focuses on.
