Membership Coordinator - Internship

The National Association of Scholars (NAS) is a non-profit higher education reform organization. NAS works to improve American higher education by supporting intellectual standards, academic freedom, and institutional transparency in colleges and universities. Key areas of responsibilities

  • Website: Posting articles to website, assisting with transition to new website, reviewing analytics
  • Membership communications: Drafting, designing, and sending electronic and print communication to members, including e-newsletter updates, membership invitations, renewal reminders, annual reports, and brochures. Answering members’ questions. Compiling databases for membership recruitment.
  • Academic Questions liaison: Correspondence with Springer on members’ information. Mailing copies of AQ to authors.
  • Office management: events coordinator, Amazon sales, ordering office supplies, dealing with building issues, handling sales calls, library and office organization
  • Research support: Beach Books, Civics, NAS website short articles
  • Materials: Working with NAS’s graphic design and printing partners on our joint projects

Type of internship

  • 30 hours per week
  • Paid hourly $15 per hour

Term of internship

Summer 2018 (flexible dates, target: May 29-August 31)
