VIDEO: Finding Truth in the Postmodern University | Randy Wayne

National Association of Scholars

For many years, Randy Wayne of Cornell University has been fighting the good fight for truth against postmodernism: a creeping ideology that denies truth’s very existence. He, along with the Heterodox Academy Campus Community and the Cornell Free Speech Alliance, has been holding the Cornell administration’s feet to the fire, particularly over the administration’s argument that free expression is of equal value against the competing and incompatible values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. At stake is an existential question: what is the purpose of the university?

On March 24, 2023, Randy Wayne was our guest on Restoring the Sciences, where we discussed “Truth in the Postmodern University.”

This event features Randy Wayne, Associate Professor of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He is the recipient of the 2023 “Courage in Education”awarded by the Steamboat Institute of Colorado for his outspoken defense of free inquiry.
