Biography


A professor of geography at the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1524; [email protected]. He is the co-author with Andy D. Wardof Environmental Hydrology, 2nd ed. (CRC Press, 2004) and editor of The Dekker Encyclopedia of Water Science (CRC Press, 2008). From 1996 to 2006 he was joint editor-in-chief of the Elsevier journal Catena. He is presently writing an environmental history of the upper Midwest.
