Steven Frankel is Professor of Philosophy at Xavier University (Ohio), and received his Ph.D. from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago. He and his wife Rachel, Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cincinnati, are longtime members and generous supporters of the NAS.
