Yale University has announced that ROTC - after a 40-year banishment - will be reinstated on campus at the beginning of Fall semester, 2012.

That's very good news, but I've got to add that I've never lost my astonishment that officer training programs were banned in the first place, like pornography in chapel.

Dare I hope that military history will be re-admitted to the curriculum as well?
